DIARY OF AN X–CENTRICSolo Exhibition | LUCH Gallery
26 January – 2 March 2025
The LUCH Gallery presents an exhibition by the contemporary Moscow artist Gor Chahal. "Diary of an X-Centric" is a completed statement by the author, a complex revelation of the theme he has been working for almost 30 years.
Staying within the mainstream of contemporary art, Gor Chahal addresses the complex and, for many, uncomfortable topic of faith and Christian culture. Based on personal spiritual experience, in his work he connects the realities of modern society with historical tradition. In the global context, this thematic direction of secular art is defined as "Christ-centered".
The exhibition brings together works made in various techniques. These works have previously been shown in Germany, Austria, Malta. In Moscow they will be presented for the first time: the painting "Saint George Strikes Cy Twombly", the digital photograph "Working on the Mistakes of the Russian Avant-garde", the video "Snakes of the Virgin Mary", the bronze sculpture "Three-solar Light" and others.
