THE ELEMENT

Group Exhibition | LUCH Gallery
17 August – 29 September, 2024

LUCH Gallery presents an exhibition of multimedia art: light projects by the studios INTERLNKD, LYM ART, mmd's, as well as the creative group of Ivan Kalinichev and Alexander Sokolov. All participants of the exhibition are well-known multimedia artists who presented their works world wide at foreign and Russian festivals, such as Intervals, Signal and NUR.

Contemporary technical art has at least two sources – artistic heritage and scientific and technological progress. The work of multimedia artists is an author's statement embodied in a bright visual object, which implies a deep technical knowledge and understanding of physical and mathematical laws. Therefore, such art is often created together in a team, but at the same time each participant is responsible for his own part.

The Element is a site-specific exhibition, all installations were conceived and designed in the context of the large hall of Cube.Moscow. Each work continues a creative path and an ongoing technological experiment of each artist.

Recently, multimedia art has become an integral part of mass shows, festivals and urban environment. Our exhibition takes place in the gallery space, and we underline its involvement in the history of fine art, its evolutionary development comming from the light tests of the avant-gardists and abstract art, which were also connected to music and interest of the physics and nature of light.

The viewer slows down in the exhibition hall. The way the exposition elements are combined here in one space, so the audience becomes an element of the exhibition, reflected in the mirrors of the interior and involved into the interactivity of installations.

The exhibition includes paintings by the artist Platon Petrov.
The technical partner of the exhibition is LG Electronics.
Architecture by studio of Maxim and Bella Novinkov.
