Artists: Kirill Kipyatkov, Ivan Kochkarev, Sergey Vasiliev, Grisha Joy, Sasha DukovaLUCH Gallery participates in the autumn edition of the Catalog Art Fair. It differs from the spring one by presenting new works by the gallery's headliners, as well as by opening to a wide audience authors who have not previously participated in Art Fairs.
New names:
SERGEY VASILIEVSergey Vasiliev was born in 1999 in Moscow. After graduating from the Moscow Academic Art College of the Russian Academy of Arts (2008-2015), he received higher education at Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Surikov (2015-2021), specialization in easel graphics. He worked as a restorer of cultural and museum objects.
The artist holds on to a realistic style. He makes mosaics on a wooden base, paints with acrylic and marker, experiments with techniques, combining painting and collage. He strives to see art in everyday life, so he finds subjects for his works. He pays special attention to the urban landscape.
GRISHA JOYGrisha JOY was born in Moscow in 1983. He studied at art school. In 2005 he graduated from Moscow State University of Railway Engineering with a degree in reconstruction of railway bridges and tunnels, and with an additional degree in “Architecture of the transport environment". He worked as a specialist at the research laboratory, was engaged in the development of projects for the reconstruction of railway bridges. He worked as a decorator and installer in the Central Department Store, and took private painting lessons.
In 2010-2012 he studied Art Photography at the British Higher School of Design. He worked with film photos, hand-printed b/w photos and video art. In 2022-2024 he took the course “New Artistic Strategies” at I.Bakstein Institute of Contemporary Art. He is an active participant of exhibitions, including performances. He works in the genre of installation (including site-specific) and abstract painting.
SASHA DUKOVASasha Dukova was born in 2000 in St.Petersburg. She studied at Surikov Institute, department of Graphics at easel workshop. She graduated with honors from the faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University in the field of Cultural Studies. She studied at Central Saint Martins with concentration in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography. She combines her art practice with work at the State Tretyakov Gallery.
The artist works in the genre of abstraction, in her own technique she creates objects from acrylic sheets. In her series of works "Monochrome" she explores the interaction between matter and perception, trying to establish an emotional dialogue between light, space and the viewer.
